How strong are you, cj? And do you know the best xiangqi server? It does not have to be in english. Also where can I play against a gm-level computer?

And in this game why can not the black chariot just take the pawn after p7+1?

movesky.com and clubxiangqi.com are 2 popular servers. It’s difficult to say which one is the “best”. I think it depends on which interface is most comfortable for you. As for my playing strength, I bounce between mid 1700’s and 1800 on clubxiangqi. There are a variety of chess engines here. I also use and recommend XieXieMaster by Pascal Tang, which you can get here. There is a free version for download.

After R4=3, C7=6, H2+1, R4=8 looks good. Any strong players out there care to comment?

But are those two servers the biggest ones? I thought there would be some big chinese server. And btw your second link does not work. Though I think I found the site using google.

Here is another Vietnamese server that I’ve played on and is a lot of fun. I know a lot of Asian players use QQ. You may find something by doing a search at http://www.baidu.com, “Asia’s Google”.

Anybody else know of a mega xiangqi server in China?

    Hi CJ,

I am a big fan of this chess. Thanks to you and your friends who organise this page in English which can quickly updates information from China to non-chinese speaking players. I love it.

Thanks again, and wish you guys all the best.
